Dry rounded log – is a modern high-tech building material, processed and dried by innovative SHF-vacuum method on unique equipment. The machining gives it a perfect shape over the entire length, after which lunar or compensating grooves are placed on the log, depending on the method of assembly of the concrete structure. A reliable material for the construction of wooden houses. Each log has a special treatment, not just protecting the wood, but also improving its natural properties. As a result, the characteristics of the wood and the final result of the construction are improved. The production of dry rounded logs is associated with SHF-vacuum drying chamber. The technology for the production of dry round logs implies the following steps. First, the log is prerounded, than the drying is carried out in the SHF- vacuum chamber. Then the finishing rounding is performed. To prevent cracking, a compensatory cut is made on the workpiece. The natural drying of logs can have a period of 6-12 months, so to accelerate and optimize the process, it is used an innovative SHF-vacuum drying. This is chamber drying, with the process of alternating evacuation and SHF-heating of wood.
The use of drying chambers accelerates the processes, the log reaches the required humidity indices of 12-15, 15-18, 18-22%.
The process of chamber drying logs occurs under strict temperature conditions. At the same time, wood decreases in weight, acquires stable standard forms and necessary indicators. As a result, the finished dry round log produces the smallest shrinkage in 2-3%. • Drying chamber type provides a gentle mode, and only after that it is possible to cut the bowls, in accordance with the project. • Dry kiln drying – is a convenient building material that allows you to create wooden structures from arbours to cottage villages. Application of SHF-vacuum technology drying logs has a significant effect on wood. It acquires a unique textural pattern, additional strength and durability, protection from negative weather conditions.
As a result of drying, the formation of cracks decreases.
Drying and subsequent machining can achieve an absolutely flat surface. The smooth rounded log of a dense qualitative structure is proposed by ICC MG-GROUP with diameters from 180 to 400 mm.
